Project Engineer -Water Resources Hydology /Hydraulics

$80,000 - $85,000 Per Year

This position is a Project Engineer  on water resource projects, including river basin-wide studies, state flood planning, multi-billion dollar coastal storm risk management  projects, large regional detention basins, state water planning and regional water distribution with responsibility for applying knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas using advanced techniques, theory, precepts and practices in a specialized engineering field and related sciences and disciplines. 


General Responsibilities:  

  • Project Engineer will be responsible for providing technical analysis of a large and important engineering project or a number of smaller projects. 

  • Provide technical support with the help of a team to produce hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and reports as requested. 

  • Use standard and advanced modeling techniques, theory, and practices in hydrology and hydraulics related disciplines. 

  • Project Engineer will interact with the Client (internal or external) and must have good communication skills. 


Required Education:  

  • Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering or related degree 

  • Licensed Professional Engineer is a plus 


Required Experience:  

  • 5+ years experience in H&H analysis and design 

  • Proficient in commonly used H&H software (RAS, HMS, Unsteady, 2D, ICPR, XP-SWMM) 

  • Create presentation using Microsoft suite including PowerPoint;proficiency in MS Projects or similar software.  

  • Strong communication skills
